Ken Levine

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

Ken became President and Chief Executive Officer of NitroSecurity in June of 2006 and serves as Chairman of the Board, a position he has held since 2004. Ken is a founder and partner in Brookline Venture Partners, a venture capital firm that specializes in high technology and media investments and is the lead investor in NitroSecurity. Ken's expertise and passion lies in the field of sales and operations. From 1985 to 1998 he was a member of the founding and executive team of Cabletron Systems where he was Executive Vice President of World Wide Sales. Ken, along with his brother Bob Levine, led the sales efforts that grew Cabletron from less than $1M to nearly $2B in sales and created shareholder value in excess of $10B. Under the leadership of Ken and Bob, Cabletron had a remarkable run of 54 consecutive quarters of growth on the New York Stock Exchange. Ken attended a Masters program in Theology at Boston College and earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1985.  back to top

Paul Paget

CEO, Savant Protection

Paul Paget joined Savant Protection as the CEO to drive the company's strategy and plan for establishing a leadership position in the market. A veteran of the information security industry, Paul enters Savant Protection with 30 years of high tech experience with companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 50. He brings a strong leadership background and a successful track record in growing and guiding security software companies, and has extensive experience managing sales and service organizations. Previously, Paul served as President and CEO of Core Security Technologies where he launched the Core IMPACT product and successfully built Core into the market leader in automated penetration testing with over 600 customers in more than 40 countries. Prior to Core, he was Senior Vice President of Operations for Baltimore Technologies Americas where he grew the company to a $30+ million dollar business. Paul joined Baltimore via the acquisition of GTE CyberTrust, where he was Worldwide Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During his tenure, Paul established the CyberTrust brand as a market leader in certification authority products and services, growing sales by 100% in one year. In 1999, he was credited by Frost and Sullivan as the "Marketing Turnaround of the Year" and subsequently positioned the company for acquisition by Baltimore Technologies in 2000 for $150 million. Earlier, Paul held a variety of senior sales and marketing positions with Lotus Development and IBM. Paget holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Bowdoin College and has completed management, technology and executive education with IBM, GTE and the University of Michigan.  back to top

Glenn T. Rieger

Director

Mr. Rieger is a General Partner of NewSpring Ventures and a Partner of NewSpring Capital. He is a director for three of NewSpring's portfolio companies including ProfitPoint, Smart Destinations and NitroSecurity. Prior to joining NewSpring in 2004, he was a co-founder and managing director of Cross Atlantic Capital Partners, inc., the management company that oversees the operations of three venture funds with over $350 million in assets under management. He oversaw the operations of Cross Atlantic's U.S. activities out of its Radnor, PA office and worked closely with several portfolio companies, including: Ecount, Gain Capital, and Management Dynamics. Prior to Cross Atlantic, he was a Senior Vice President for Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE:SFE) in charge of business development. In this position, he developed and oversaw merger, acquisition, investment and exit opportunities for Safeguard. In addition, he served as a business partner and director for five of Safeguard's partnership companies. Prior to joining Safeguard, he was a managing director of a boutique investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and President and Chief Executive Officer of a $1 billion California savings bank that employed over 250 people. He is active in the local venture capital community and for the 2004 program year chaired the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group, a trade association representing more than 80 venture funds representing approximately $12 billion in assets under management. He is a graduate of Colby College and has an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. back to top

Howard Smith

Director

Howard Smith is a managing director at First Analysis where he coordinates investment and research in selected areas of information technology. Before joining First Analysis in 1994, he was a senior tax consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Smith earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a certified public accountant.  back to top

Tim Wallace

CEO and President of iPipeline

Tim Wallace has over 28 years of experience in the software, service and consulting industry. Mr. Wallace previously served as interim President and COO of MEDecision Inc., a public software company. Prior to MEDecision, Tim was the CEO and Chairman of FullTilt Solutions, Inc. FullTilt had raised $22 million in venture capital and was recognized by Forrester and Gartner Research as the leading enterprise product information management software in the market place. Mr. Wallace has been a two-time finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and a finalist for the Enterprise Award for "CEO of the Year."

Prior to joining FullTilt in 2000, Mr. Wallace served as CEO of systems integrator XeroxConnect, and as the President and CEO for XLConnect Solutions, Inc., where he was also one of the founders of the company. Mr. Wallace and other members of the management team took the company public in October of 1996. Xerox acquired XLConnect in June of 1998 for approximately $420 million.

Mr. Wallace formerly was a partner in The Waldec Group, a system integration company that was twice on the Inc. 500 list. He previously spent eleven years with Arthur Andersen & Company, where he was Managing Director of the Business Consulting Practice.

Mr. Wallace received a Master of Business Administration from Miami University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on the following boards: FullTilt Solutions, Inc. Knova, Inc., MEDecision, Inc., and Migo Software, Inc.  back to top
